Dates to Remember
The Internal Revenue Service announced that the nation's tax season will start on Monday, January 26, 2026, when the tax agency will begin accepting and processing 2025 tax year returns.
The filing deadline to submit 2025 tax returns or an extension to file and pay tax owed is Wednesday, April 16, 2026, for most taxpayers.
NOTABLE 2025 DEDUCTIONS
Temporary Senior Deduction
A deduction of up to $6,000 may be available for seniors for tax years
2025–2028, subject to income limits.
